Alicia and Matt met in late fall of 2024 — though at the time, neither of them realized it would turn into anything worth telling a story about. Alicia was convinced he was completely out of her league. Meanwhile, he was equally convinced Alicia wasn’t single. So naturally… nothing happened. About six months later, a mutual friend suggested they go on a date, giving them the push they apparently needed to finally get to know each other. Very soon after, Alicia and Matt made plans for their first official date at Hog & Hominy over pizza and wine — and it didn’t take long for both of them to realize they may have completely misread things the first time around. Somewhere halfway through dinner — between easy conversation, shared laughter, and one more glass of wine — they had already made plans to see each other again five days later. But waiting that long quickly proved unrealistic. An impromptu set of plans happened in between, turning their carefully scheduled second date into what officially became date number three. From that point on, things felt effortless. What started as almost missing each other turned into finding exactly the right person at exactly the right time. As it turns out, the best love stories aren’t always about perfect timing. Sometimes they’re about second chances… and realizing pretty quickly you don’t want to wait five whole days to see each other again — which is exactly how they knew this story was only just getting started.
