Julia and Neil’s modern love story began, like many these days, on a dating app in Charlotte, North Carolina, however with a near miss. Julia didn’t catch Neil’s first message, but fate gave them a second chance. Not long after reconnecting, Neil disappeared with warning on a hunting trip, completely off the grid, Julia was intrigued and waited it out. When he returned, they finally met for dinner and instantly clicked. That evening marked the true beginning of their story. Just a few months later, life took them in different directions first with Neil’s move back to Virginia, then again a couple of years later with another move to Alabama. This testing their bond through long distance and a stretch of very rural living. But they made it work and eventually found their way to Prattville, Alabama, where things came full circle. On a Sunday in February, set in a beautiful garden with their dog Ollie right by their side, Neil proposed. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
